Tom Bauer takes his audience back to the year 1516 in beautiful Bavaria. Duke Wilhelm IV has just gathered the state parliament to announce what is probably Bavaria's most important document - the Bavarian Purity Law! But then a scatterbrained magic fairy gets in the way and everything turns out terribly different for Bavarian beer...
In the XL version the blowers of the Holledauer Musikanten accompany the beery cabaret musical. Thus, with Tom Bauer, Veronika Frank and Sebastian Hagengruber, three word and singing acrobats and four wind players from the heart of the Hallertau are together on stage. Who, if not Helmut Schranner's musicians from the oldest hop-growing region in the world and known for concert and modern brass music, could better turn the humorous piece about the most miserable beer in the world into a work for larger stages? Together they combine humor, music, culture and the Bavarian way of life.
