Corazón-Quartett
Corazón Quartet
The Corazón Quartet is a top-class world music ensemble from Munich - virtuoso guitar music with a focus on "Flamenco" and "Latin America".
The Corazón Quartet consists of four professional musicians: WDR award winners Lori Lorenzen and Wolfgang Wallner - both on guitar - as well as Peter Cudek on electric bass & double bass and Charly Böck - percussion. The four have gained their experience in the course of their lives in numerous ensembles and projects and are always on tour throughout Europe with different line-ups.
In its new live programme, the Corazón Quartet presents its latest CD "Luna", which features singer Carmen Linares and bassist Carles Benavent (Paco de Lucia Sextet) as well as many guests: a play of colours of southern guitar music full of vitality, energy and joy of playing. Original compositions are juxtaposed with pieces by well-known guitarists such as Paco de Lucia, Chicuelo, Jose Antonio Rodriguez or Al Di Meola - often spirited and rousing, sometimes calm and dreamy. The sound of modern Spanish flamenco, pleasantly jazzily improvised, and full of southern atmosphere.
